DESKGO in Hampton

We believe a co-working office needs to be in an accessible area and luckily DESKGO is located in the heart of Hampton, Peterborough. The newly created office space has been designed to offer the local area a new environment for freelancers, homeworkers, start-ups and established businesses. DESKGO is super easy to get to whether your getting here by train, car, bus or bike you can expect a pretty easy commute to our co-working offices.

Trains

The Peterborough train station is a short 10-minute drive from our co-working offices via the Nene parkway with direct services to Cambridge, Huntingdon, Ely, Stamford, Lincoln, Norwich, Leicester, Nottingham, London Kings Cross, Leeds, Newcastle Central and Edinburgh. There are also regular taxies available to and from the station from our co-working offices.

Buses

There is also a good bus system run by Stagecoach which is available from the train station to Hampton and surrounding areas. Route 6 offers stops at Peterborough city centre, Old Fletton, Hampton Centre, Hampton Hargate and Hampton Vale.

Car

If you are commuting by car then DESKGO is only a short drive off the A1, A47, A605 or A15.  There are plenty of petrol stations available, one being 2 minutes away at Tesco Hampton Serpentine.

Parking

Here at DESKGO we offer free on-road parking which is a massive bonus compared to city centre parking fees, where you can expect to pay up to £12. At DESKGO there are plenty of spaces available right outside the co-working offices to make the commute to work that little easier.

Hampton Grocery stores

Serpentine Green shopping centre is located a 5-minute walk away or a 3-minute drive from DESKGO, where there are 35 high street stores, a Tesco Extra and M&S food hall. This shopping hall is super handy to have if you don’t want the hassle of nipping to the city centre, as it has most shops you would ever need.

If you don’t fancy the Serpentine Green, there is a Co-operative food a 3-minute walk away which is great for a quick lunch grab.

Aldi is also on our doorstep, a short 3-minute drive away and you could grab your lunch or ingredients for dinner.

There is also a local convenience shop called Eagle Way Food Store that has a range of produce and a halal meat butcher.

Hampton has lots of eating establishments all over, whether you just want a café, pub or restaurant there is a long list to choose from that all offer a varied selection.

DESKGO does have a great little coffee bar located in house if you want to grab a quick drink or sandwich, or if you prefer to bring in your lunch, we can even heat it up for you.  

If you don’t fancy taking a lunch break in our coffee bar, then there are a handful of local cafes just around the corner.

Hampton Serpentine Lake

From the co-working office, you can see the picturesque Serpentine lakes which are in fact Hamptons largest lake with depths of up to 16ft. A great space to take advantage of if you just need a break away from your desk or you just fancy a stroll.

There is also a community park within walking distance from the DESKGO co-working offices which is a great green space to enjoy in the warmer months.

Gyms around Hampton, Peterborough

Vivacity Hampton Leisure Centre is conveniently located 2 minutes away from DESKGO on the outskirts of Hampton. This venue has good outdoor facilities such as a large sports hall and tennis courts. There is also an extensive gym which includes functional training, cardio machines and a weight area, there are also many fitness classes to join.

Attached to the leisure centre is the Hampton Library which holds several children’s events and has an online library catalogue so you can easily find the book you are looking for.

Peterborough Dragon Boat Festival

The Festival is open to everyone and up to 52 crews are expected to battle it out over the 200m racecourse, Dragon boat racing is an ancient Chinese tradition and the fastest growing water activity in Britain today. This event is in aid of the Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice which helps families and patients

Cancer Research UK’s Peterborough Race for Life

The Race for Life is a fundraising route that gives people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities the chance to come together and show cancer who’s boss, even dogs are allowed to enter the race. They’re not races or runs, and everyone wins the Race for Life (except cancer).
